I've been away from my blog for a while, but I'm back. 2010 so far has been very busy but great. I've been to Sea World, Busch Gardens, Indian Rocks Beach, Knoxville NSRA car show, Leesburg Bikefest, Daytona Bike Week, Bradenton drag races, and I have so much more planned!
If you love steel roller coasters, you must check out Sea World's Manta. You ride facing DOWN. It's a great ride!
Busch Gardens has more roller coasters than Sea World and Sheikra is one of the most thrilling steel coasters I've ridden.
When choosing what beach to go to on the Gulf Coast from central Florida, I prefer Indian Rocks Beach for one reason: an extremely short walk from the car to the beach. I used to frequent Treasure Island, but carrying everything out to the beach is just too much with the long distance from parking.
The NSRA car show in Knoxville was BEAUTIFUL! It was held at Chilhowee Park. With its tree-covered curving landscapes its views are breathtaking.
Leesburg Bikefest was, in my opinion, just as busy if not busier than Daytona Bike Week! The temperature for Daytona was at freezing, so being a Floridian, we didn't brave the cold and ride the bike there. That may be why Leesburg seemed so packed with bikes, because the weather was so much warmer.
My visit to Bradenton Motorsports Park was my first time to a drag race. While the racing was fun to watch, I learned something very important about myself: I LOVE '69 Camaros! The big attraction the day I was there was Elaine Larsen driving the jet powered dragster. It's something you must see in person to appreciate.
